PHP is an object-oriented dynamic language that still backs our Italian monolith. It’s to be considered on hold because, even if it changed a lot in the last few years moving towards types, it still feels very chaotic and error-prone. Especially when used for business logic that needs to be correct.

Also, its single-threaded nature makes it difficult to back a microservice architecture, and memory usage tends to grow for unclear reasons over time.
