Domain-Driven Design is a set of principles and practices to developers create software according to common business terms.
DDD is designed to align business and technology architecturally and organisationally. It is the standard approach to organising technology teams at many successful companies. In DDD, a domain (or subdomain) is a collection of related business activities with a shared vocabulary (a ubiquitous language) and distinct boundaries (contexts) separating it from other domains.
Another way of looking at it is that business domains are divided into sets of interrelated, coherent bounded contexts, each with their own vocabulary.
