REST for frontend/backend communication
While REST (Representational State Transfer) is a popular and widely used protocol for client/server communication, it can lead to bugs if not implemented carefully.
One common issue is the lack of standardized error handling. Since REST does not define a specific way to handle errors, different applications may handle errors differently, leading to confusion and potential bugs.
Another issue is the lack of type checking, which can lead to errors when data is passed between frontend and backend. If the data being sent does not match the expected data type, it can result in bugs and unexpected behavior.
Overall, while REST is a useful and popular protocol, we are putting it on hold for communication between frontend and backend. Prefer GraphQL which solves both the previous problems.
