Rust has proved to be a solid choice for building reliable software. Its ability to hit the sweet spot between prototyping and creating long-term solutions is outstanding.
It’s a modern language with great tooling, it’s fast and strongly typed. It fosters a functional approach with a pinch of pragmatism (opt-in mutability) while still making it easy to write correct code. It’s great for concurrent programming, domain modelling and HTTP request/response lifecycle.
There are a lot of good quality open-source libraries and the community is growing at a fast pace.
